Inside the Tucker Box
Gungyah is excited to have re-opened the Tucker Box to be able to serve the whole Jubullum community. Here are some ways the commercial kitchen is able to be used:
- CATERING FOR LOCAL EVENTS
- INDIGENOUS FOOD BUSINESSES
- TAFE HOSPITALITY COURSES
- MEALS ON WHEELS FOR ELDERS
- AND MUCH MORE
In 2015, a Certificate II in hospitality was provided by the Aboriginal Learning Circle. A new commerical kitchen was purchased with donations from Dick Smith, Ridley Bell and an anonymous donor. Tables, chairs and other utensils donated by Mary Allan, Head Teacher of hospitality at Wollongbar TAFE.
